Gartner has published a new Magic Quadrant that recognizes vendors in the Financial Planning Software (FPS) market – and Anaplan has been named a Leader. This new unbiased research is an expansion of the Gartner legacy Cloud Financial Planning and Analysis (CFP&A) definition, which focused on needs of the Finance Office, highlighting solutions that enable enterprise-wide planning. That is a practice Anaplan has called Connected Planning since 2017.
In the 2022 Magic Quadrant for financial planning software, Anaplan placed highest for ‘Ability to Execute’ which evaluates various factors including financial viability, market responsiveness, product development, sales channels, and customer base.
Gartner defines financial planning software as the key tool that enables organizations to manage their enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes. Financial planning software allows finance organizations to plan and analyze business financial strategy for the organization across all three financial statements (that is, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows). It supports modeling, collaboration, analytics and performance-reporting capabilities, all of which enhance a user’s ability to effectively manage financial performance.
The Anaplan approach to Connected Planning succeeds because of the software’s unique ability to align operational planning to financial planning, including sales, marketing, sales & operation planning, distribution, information technology, and human resource processes on a unified, cloud-native, composable platform.
In addition to being recognized as a Leader in the Financial Planning Software Magic Quadrant, Anaplan is also recognized as a Leader in 2022 Magic Quadrant™ for Supply Chain Planning Solutions, and in the 2022 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Enterprise Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting Applications.
